should change it to a percentage or enable it to parse a percentage by tacking on a %
most likely it was originally set at that level based on the "recommended minimum" system requirements which i think was originally 1gb since like 6 years ago

I believe the default is based on the minimum system requirements.
It would be nice to have the default be based on RAM instead. Luke mentioned having a (older) PR for that.
Ya I noticed it went from 25mb at one point in time up to 600, then down to 450. Didn’t look much more than a few mins yet, won’t be able to again for a bit. I’ll prod later. Maybe my first core contrib? Seems straightforward & inconsequential.
