Hey 👋🏻

Your private key will be encrypted and stored in you browsers cache. The key itself is only available in memory. That’s why you need to unlock it with your passphrase every time you open the website again.

Hey! I appreciate the reply. Thank you!

So when the site wants me to choose, and confirm, a new passphrase from time to time (most of the time actually, when I’ve tested it) that means that the private key was not available in my browser’s cache?

Yes. Are you using a browser with strict local storage policies? Some browsers will wipe it quite regularly

I’m on Safari iOS.
