I was asked about taking a puppy mill bitch and would have if not for Dog’s own issues. If I had a dog who would not only cope but positively help, I would take Josie.

But I think you knew I would say that, which suggests you know what you really want to do. You could be a wonderful home for either dog, but you could make far more difference for Josie.
