In India for all movies there's a midway break. Even 90 minute movies, because many people come just on time or 5mins late to movies, theaters will lose money if they don't have this break and sell foodstuff to people.

You mean, there is an intermission break, like "God Father"? Even if the original movie does not have a break point?

Yes. Even if the original movie production did not plan and intermission, theater operators would place it roughly halfway through the movie.

This is because like I mentioned theaters would lose out snacks money without this break, also Indian movies are around 2hours - 2 hours 30 minutes. So a restroom break is needed, especially if people have been drinking soda.

That's so interesting to know!

I think there is no theaters doing like so in Japan. Also it sounds good for viewers to have a break for restroom. Holding your natural process too long is not good for your health after all.
