yeah, me too... and a big part of how i came to having the diabeetus... i suspect the seed oils also play some part in fucking up the liver's capacity to burn fats as well

i was over 80kg about 4 months ago, the weight and severe symptoms came on shockingly fast, and it wasn't starchy foods that was really doing it, just a lot of milk, after decades of energy drinks and potato chips
the first sign of it was getting double vision and chronic severe tinnitis in 2023
i had been steadily moving more and more consistently towards a paleo/keto diet since 2015... the problems are completely unbearable now, basically can't eat any high carb foods, i have celiac as well, confirmed, can't eat bread or wheat products, and a lot of things including potato chip flavor ingredients contain it, can't drink beer, wine is almost ok but vodka makes me get such severe cramping that my muscles are aching for days afterwards and i've done nothing, just the damage from the cramping
until about 4 years ago i was pretty much dead stable at 65kg all my adult life, and, except a few brief patches of heavy potato consumption, and later this milk thing... and yes, i already knew milk was a major weight gainer for me... it just has a lower GI than most other forms of carbs so it helps for a while at first - that's how i adopted this online name for nostr also
yeah, i got lots of stuff i gotta be careful with now... i can't believe it took me so long to learn that a dermatitis that i get is a symptom of celiac tho... i mean, i first started getting it 25 years ago and never figured it out until a couple weeks back

i mean, i always had it a bit, in my yoot i did lots of listening to loud music, so my ears are a bit damaged, was a few times i distinctly remember for days afterwards being weird
but as far as i can tell, tinnitis is made worse than it would otherwise be by things that increase blood pressure in fine capillaries, in general, anything that increases obstruction in the blood makes it worse too, that would include alcohol (it can cause small embolisms to form from the low oxygenation in the small volume of a fine blood vessel) and indeed carbs in general, and having a elevated blood sugar is going to also decrease blood oxygenation and increase the occurrance of these small embolisms
for sure, these artificial sweeteners are bad, and probably also the semi-synthetic starch derivatives like the various kinds of maltodextrin
caffeine also, and anything that messes with your blood/water/salt levels in general, diuretic effect or thirst suppression
and things that decrease it would be cannabis and gingko... cannabis's effect is more indirect, it has beneficial effects on increasing insulin tolerance, lowering fine capillary pressure by dilation of smooth muscle (this is why it increases pulse)
and last point, i've been starting to see more and more research that is showing that one of the key, broad population scale health issues that is likely attributable to increased ingress of solar energy due to the weakening magnetic field, and a general increase of circulatory and blood pressure regulation problems... likely the energy impacts the nervous system and such
that's about as much as i have on the subject at this point...
i also need to cut out the caffeine at some point too, and the alcohol is now on teh list of imperative to stop, smoking cigarettes that's been finished over a year now, never gonna go back to that, it's the worst (yes, i didn't mention, smoking is a major factor in tinnitis)
