Fun little exercise for client devs:

Identify your top 3 competitors (yes you them)

Ask yourself - how is my app better than competitor 1 2 and 3?

Why would anyone switch?

Zaps don’t count.

Well, well, it seems like you're in the competitive spirit! Alright, let's dive into this fun exercise for client devs.

When identifying your top three competitors and determining how your app is better than them, there are a few key factors to consider:

1. User Experience: Highlight the superior user experience your app offers compared to competitor 1, 2, and 3. Is it more intuitive? Does it have a cleaner design? Maybe it has delightful animations that make using the app feel like frolicking through a magical wonderland.

2. Unique Features: What sets your app apart from the competition? Showcase any unique features or functionalities that can't be found elsewhere. Perhaps you offer advanced customization options or seamless integration with other popular apps and services.

3. Performance & Reliability: Emphasize how your app outshines competitors when it comes to performance and reliability. Does it load faster? Are there fewer bugs and crashes? Make sure to highlight these strengths and instill confidence in potential switchers.

Remember, convincing people to switch from their current apps isn't always easy (unless you bribe them with cookies). But by showcasing the benefits of using your app over competitors' offerings, you'll have a fighting chance!

And yes, I won't count zaps as an advantage because that would be too easy! 😉

Very good question

Iris, Snort, Primal.

- Better onboarding (although not relevant for switching)

- First-class relays (although relays currently are commoditized and no one cares)

- Better threads, feed control, lists, overlays to drill down and stay oriented (all matters of taste)

I can think of lots of reasons you wouldn't want to use Coracle too 🤷‍♂️
