This forced pseudo-celebrity bullshit is exactly why Twitter sucks and now its coming to nostr. I guess there is literally nothing special going on here nostr:npub1wnwwcv0a8wx0m9stck34ajlwhzuua68ts8mw3kjvspn42dcfyjxs4n95l8

Tapping on Iris' profile link on Amethyst immediately crashes the app.
Talk about killing the competition Vitor, lmao.
That is created by apps offering the same 50 nostr-celebrities to new users in onboarding and IMHO the biggest issue where nostr currently lacks: the user/profile discovery.
Generally I don't think it's a bad idea to have "trending posts" but the way it is currently done is very biased.
We need ...
- trending hashtags
- trending users (nostr.band is doing a good job with this)
- a focus on topics and communties
One thing is clear: The larger nostr grows, the better tools we need to see what is going on inside and outside of our bubble.
From a generic perspective everything is fine, but I am sick of hearing that this will become somehow the peoples social media when everything points to it just being another soapbox for the usual suspects.
