if there was a gun to my head the odds of me remembering my 6 digit trick pin is low but I’d remember to use my pinky to unlock and not my thumb

Optionality is always better you can always have both

I would probably use the thumb out of habit and forget that it’s the middle finger 🤣

But I can remember that my pin is not the pin I need to use
