You don’t think the politicians themselves are so attached to the power, they have 0 will to pass the torch? For example Nancy Pelosi (83yrs old) is seriously running for reelection. Politicians have no desire to stop being a state actor even if that’s not what they signed up for in their 20s. The Banks can control and hand checks to any politician, doesn’t matter who right?
