I’ve just read the foreword nostr:npub1guh5grefa7vkay4ps6udxg8lrqxg2kgr3qh9n4gduxut64nfxq0q9y6hjy wrote for nostr:npub1w69ya7xs697hk3hky3gllryz8rwverfa0ylz89chf9qnhfcskc2s64zltw book.

I’m a few years older than Marty and I will admit that during the GFC I couldn’t be bothered much what happened and what the cause was. This has to do with the person I was at the time and not being American could be a part of that.

In the next decade I still didn’t pay much attention to it because my mind was elsewhere. However there were always questions lingering on why these things happen and through all of our technological advancements things seem to become more expensive.

I think the start of my big turning point was when I met my girlfriend and knew that I wanted to build a life with her. So gradually then suddenly I started asking those questions again but with a new motivation to really figure out what’s happening in the world.

I started reading, listening and discovering people such as Marty and Parker which helped me in a way which is difficult to describe in words.

I may sound like a broken record by constantly posting here how much I appreciate the people here but that is want I genuinely feel.

I’m not gonna lie that occasionally I read posts of people telling their perspective on a certain topic which infuriates me but instead of emotions get the better of me I tried to understand where they come from. At the moment I fundamentally disagree with someone I still respect their perspective and the willingness to put it out there.

Maybe that’s the most important aspect of these communities for me just learning and develop as a human being.
