Nostr changes social behaviour in the same way bitcoin changes financial behaviour.

How so?

Leads to more civilised discourse and more honest financial dealings.

Why do you think that is?

Does a person using Nostr feel like they have more more control in the app than they do in say Twitter, and thats what is leading to civil discourse?

Or is it more fundamental in the ability to run a relay (or know someone who does)? Is it control over Pub/Priv keys?

I think there are probably many factors leading to such outcomes. Taking nostr as the example, it's also possible that bitcoiners bring such behaviour with them and approach this platform with benign intentions. Obviously, the fact so many here share similar values leads to more harmony - but also the knowledge that the communication is unfiltered, "unmolested" by algorithms and external controls.

This !

Well said sir 💜⚡️🤙

But the most people want to be led I think.

It will be a long way to convince "the sheep" that they are on the wrong way.

The important thing is WE have a place to practise these values and virtues. We can't force others to join in, but the existence of alternatives is absolutely necessary for those of us who value such things.

💯 👌
