You should know I was sitting next to the comfy warm chimney 🔥✨ but outside it’s really cold, still at 1 degree 🥶 but this fluffy clothing keeps really warm outside🧣

Thanks nostr:npub1995y964wmxl94crx3ksfley24szjr390skdd237ex9z7ttp5c9lqld8vtf for clarifying. What's the fuel of the chimney? Wood? Electricity? I just can't imagine this cold. My God!
Wood 🪵
It’s winter time here in Germany, it’s snowing right now! ❄️
If you don't feel bothered, nostr:npub1995y964wmxl94crx3ksfley24szjr390skdd237ex9z7ttp5c9lqld8vtf, (ignore me in that case for now,) how do you collect woods? From the woods? Or these are industrially processed logs? And how many times do you need to put the woods into fire? Does it hamper sleep at night. (Silly questions. I feel shaky but curious.)
Don’t worry, sure!
We get the wood from locals. One ~20cm piece lasts for about an hour. As soon as it’s about to burn completely down we load another piece into it! No not really, it’s in the livingroom :) the noise it makes while burning is actually calming and satisfying! 🔥🪵
What’s the coldest temperature you experience in your country?
Thanks nostr:npub1995y964wmxl94crx3ksfley24szjr390skdd237ex9z7ttp5c9lqld8vtf. Your patience is assuring. I feel grateful.
I imagine the soothing sound of the burning wood, the warmth, and the satisfying thin smell of the wood fire.
What about your nights? You still wake up every hour to put new wood into fire?
Our winter days fluctuate a lot in temperature. Usually it's in between 10 to 20 degree celsius. When it's very cold, it goes below 10. Rarely it touches at best 6 for a few days in a row. We have a 100 year record lowest temperature of 3 degree which lasted for a single day or two.
Winter is totally missing this year. We are suffering from global
warming. In my childhood (i'm 55), winter was really winter. We needed little wood stoves in rooms. But gradually winter has become a romantic nostalgia only. I feel sad. I love winter. January is the coldest month here. I was born in january.
Sorry for the late response Newton💜 glad about your curiosity! 🫂
So in the night the fire does not burn, it’s also just heating the living room and over the day, the warmth radiates a little into the corridor and upstairs 🔥 wow lowest temperature of 3° over the last 100 years is crazy!
Yeah, winters are getting warmer here too! I can remember barely one or two snowy Christmas eves in my young life. And I guess it won’t be more over the years, it will be stay a rarity, snowy Christmas eves. January is actually also most likely the coldest month here. At least you could move somewhere where snow is guaranteed, but it won’t be the same as at home.
How warm are the summers in Bangladesh?
Thank you so much Franny for responding in detail. 🩷 I thought, to be frank, you got bored and/or bothered with my curiosity. 🙇♂️ I feel relieved that I was totally wrong. I feel grateful to you for that. 🫂 But the sad part is I don't know how I'm not notified of this post for these long 19 days though I feel lucky that I have not missed it forever.
Summer is very hot here. It goes beyond 40 degree Celsius frequently during May-June.
Best wishes, Merry Christmas!🎄🎅❄️
Don’t worry! Sometimes I can’t respond quick but I like to take my time to response mindfully still 🙏🏼😊
I am really happy you found your way back to this note after all these days! 😁
How do you handle the hotter days in summer? 🔥☀️
Thank you! 🎄
Thank you, nostr:npub1995y964wmxl94crx3ksfley24szjr390skdd237ex9z7ttp5c9lqld8vtf. 💜🫂
I just accept the summer heat and drink water as much as I can. Actually I love it equally as I love winter though summer is a low cost season. Summer also makes us sweat a lot here. It's very humid. But I love hot bright sunshine and love to go in the sun. ✨🌅🔥
