I guess the cash app flow isn’t bad now but I had no idea you can pay lightning invoices. When I use their “send” option it asks for a min of 5k sats but scanning an invoice doesn’t have a limit.

Would be nice to see the UX be a bit more obvious. I can’t be the only one to overlook that.

We’re working on removing that 5k minimum. It doesn’t make sense. It’s an artifact of the OG on chain sending and something that the Eng team calls “dusting” 💨 we’ve got a design approach and the tech to handle this now.

Dusting is an on chain way of tracking wallets by sending small amounts of bitcoin that cost more to transfer than they are worth to addresses you want to watch.

Doesn’t make sense on lightning at all.
