just because there are no active commits doesn't mean its dead. it's currently powering the damus relay and most of the large relays. it works very well.

there are a few bugs that I'm aware of but they're not a huge deal.

"Dead" may be a bit much. 7 months with no maintenance isn't exactly a good sign either. Cobol is currently powering most of the financial system, but that doesn't exactly make a strong case for it.

I hope it's not a dead project. As relays go, this is probably my favorite.

I mean if I needed to update it for any reason I would just do so myself. it's not that big of a deal. I already modified our relay to add nip-70 from fiatjaf's PR:

Forks were going to be my next inquiry. I'm glad to see the project continuing to evolve!

having recent commits says nothing about software

software that works works, doesn't need a constant group of camels making changes and introducing bugs in it every day

The repo can be ded, even if people still use the code. Nobody is maintaining the repo or responding to PRs or issues.
