I've strayed away from any sort of chain-analysis stuff in the past as it was a learning curve I wasn't ready to eat yet. As I was making a lighting payment today, I decided to see how private my transaction was.

Context, I was using Phoenix Wallet to make a payment to an on-chain btc address. I was able to spot my transaction relatively quickly and noticed that my LN channel size was also viewable from the block.

Is that simply because I made an on-chain purchase? What should I be doing to make sure that information isn't revealed?

I *think* Phoenix splices the channel for on chain. Meaning it closes and reopens with the new balance.

To could use a swap service like nostr:npub1psm37hke2pmxzdzraqe3cjmqs28dv77da74pdx8mtn5a0vegtlas9q8970 to make an LN to On chain payment without that splicing taking place
