We just implemented a cryptographic gift voucher system inspired by @pardus79 (Bitcoin Pin's) Proof-Of-Gift - using Ed25519 signatures, similar to Chaumian eCash.

How It Works

Token Format: BB-NONCE-AMOUNT-EXPIRY-SIGNATURE

Each voucher is a self-contained cryptographic token that:

✅ Verifiable without database lookup - signature validation only needs the public key

✅ Unforgeable - Ed25519 signatures can only be created with the private key

✅ Double-spend protected - redemption registry prevents reuse

✅ Has built-in expiry - 12 months from issue, encoded in the token itself

✅ Change Tokens

If your voucher is worth more than the booking, you automatically get a change token for the remaining balance. Just like getting change back from cash!

Example:

Buy $50 voucher → Book $30 consultation → Get $20 change token emailed
