I was hoping a Damus Notedeck developer, or someone with experience compiling it on Linux could help me with this one. I have tried to compile it on Ubuntu and Debian, but I keep getting the same build error every time I try. Please help me resolve this. I am up shits creek without a paddle here.

ah, yeah this is an issue a few people have run into before. we'll fix it soon, but in the mean time you can clone the repo using git and then compile. that should work

So I did as you said. This time it did build successfully.

However, all I get is a black screen gui when the app runs. Nothing is there.

Any ideas what could be happening?
