Flying is risky business at the best of times and it certainly doesn’t help if anyone involved is not acting in genuine fashion.

Overall the systemic problem is chiefly solved by healthy competition and innovation e.g. new technology

Paradoxically what we have here is an attempt at some level of efficiency by applying a new technology to something older that should be reliable now in the simple act of changing it has reduced the reliability and unintended consequences (deadly for the passengers, obviously there are few consequences worse than this) and that’s putting it mildly HOWEVER

There are also quality issues involved now in their plant and I think that is conflating the issue. It’s certainly worth paying close attention to see how it plays out.
