There’s a huge fallacy in the way psychedelics are naively promoted , the assumption that they benefit everyone. In reality, they only enhance the daily life for a rare few with exceptional mental discipline, self-awareness, high agency and mental strength. The rest without this solid foundation can get their life destroyed

Are you looking for feedback to this post? I sense not, but I’ll take a stab anyway….

Your statement(s) are stated as facts when they are extremely subjective. Maybe state as such if you want them to resonate with the intended audience. “In my experience….”, “from my lens/perspective…”.

Without this nuance, the vibe from your comments come-off (to me) as intentionally inflammatory. And without a depth of understanding yourself. Anecdotal at best.

Which Psychedelic molecules are you referring to here? DMT, Psilocybin? LSD? Mescaline?

Used in what set and setting? Recreationally? Shamanic-ally? Therapeutically?

I have personally seen (and experienced) life changing results for dozens and dozens of humans with debilitating PTSD and other normally “treatment-resistant” ailments over just the past 4 years during my 20 or so nights participating In indigenous Ayahuasca ceremonies. Results that I would have flat out dismissed as “impossible” with the over-engaged left side of my brain for the first 50yrs of my life prior to these experiences.

That being said, many who recklessly use these substances recreationally and withOUT proper respect, set and setting can often get rekt.

That’s on them. Not the molecule(s). If we truly believe in “self-sovereignty” here, then in my opinion, it must extend beyond just “the tech” (BTC/Nostr)

We must own all of our own actions and behaviours, individually. Whole at the same time educating others who want to benefit from our collective and decentralised body of experience.

Thanks for listening 🙏🏻

I wrote it in a rush , it was not written as fact it was an observation that’s becoming cemented , and I was indeed looking for a discussion , I have tried all the psychedelics you mentioned and I can talk in length about my experience with each one of them, mostly positive but some needed long recovery , as well as donating to multiple research and healing modalities using them and I still do . From personal experience , a huge amount of people who used them recreationally or even in retreats had major irreparable damage on their life , and their ability to keep creating what they were passionate about , their cognitive abilities sometimes even their intelligence , and regret ever taking them . My post is directed to the people who promote them indiscriminately to everyone without doing the due diligence on wether they can handle them or even need them , sorry if my tone was wrong I was reacting to an ongoing situation

Context understood. Thank you. You were clearly triggered when writing the post.

I have been observing in myself that when I try and communicate from this triggered state, my message looses any signal and just becomes (largely) noise. Like 99 percent of platformed SM.

That’s what makes Nostr unique and valuable from my perspective. Not how many people are engaging, but how they are engaging. Signal vs Noise.

Psychedelics are not for everyone, IMO. They are NO panacea as often preached by the uninformed. They amplify and loosen stuck energy patterns that are PRE-existing in the individual human consuming them, as well as the human psyche in general (archetypes). That is where the opportunities AND risks are.

All of that being said, when used intentionally and intelligently, I believe they offer humanity an invaluable tool in cleaning and healing the nervous system. Both for the individual and humanity as a whole. I find it no coincidence that they are re-emerging in the public Zeitgeist just as humanity seems to need an accelerated “shift” 🧬

So let’s not “throw the baby out with the bath water” 💦 😉

God Bless You Sister 🙏🏻💓

PS

All serious practitioners and users of these modalities that I have worked with across the globe have said that the work done AFTER ceremony is 80-90 percent of the process.

LIFE is the real medicine 🪬

Respect the psychedelics
