Correct… all of the plastic pipe leach chemicals

Ok, sure, but I figure I should worry about getting a good filter before I worry about the pipe material. Copper also has health risks too.

Drinking water is not the same risk exposure as bathing water, water for laundry etc.

You can filter drinking water locally.
