The Constitution of the USA is closer to Islam than anything the Muslim world has. I think even more so Switzerland with its direct democracy and decentralization.

I'll be honest, I've never studied Swiss democracy and probably should take a look at it
Of course my point of view is for building a new constitution for a new state someday in the Muslim world God willing and we can take the good ideas from around the world that fit Islam building from the Qur'an and the Prophetic Constitution with its "amendments/additions" like the treaty of Najran, etc provably and the verifiable and verified hadiths about governance and community, etc that are usually hidden or covered up or unjustly weakened that nobody wants to talk about or try to study, relying on the works of mawardi and such only who are people of their times which are most surely nothing like the Prophetic model of freedoms that the world has never seen before and still only has parts of.
Freedoms of succession, independence, autonomy, direct and decentralized governance, rights of bearing arms and defending yourself and people and property and rights and others, right to revolution, to accounting the governers who are merely agents of the people to be changed whenever they like and to be overruled whenever they vote, not impeding on majority/minority/community/individual rights, etc not punishing for anything that God hasn't said to be punished in this life as in governance, with the only thing i can think of being public adultery intercourse and that's for Muslims only a few non damaging public shaming lashes. Even the few narrations of alcohol drinking for Muslims punishment are shaky and need to be studied and understood. Obviously anyone can drink and do whatever stupid shit in the privacy of their properties no one can impede on that but if they're Muslims they have a reckoning in the real life the afterlife.
*reverified hadith I meant as in studied again and proved, not relying on Bukhari or Muslim with their great work, of course, but it doesn't mean we can't do better or more, proving hadiths that might not be in those archives but in others and disproving hadiths that Bukhari and/or Muslim thought to be authentic, etc.
