So I entered my nsec into badges.page… then I realized and learned that I shouldn’t be putting my nsec into websites without using an extension. So now I have Nostore, but can anyone explain how badges.page stores my nsec and how problematic this was?

Also, like in centralized platforms, is there any way to update or change your nsec in order to remain secure while maintaining the same profile? Is there any thoughts on how this might be managed now or in the future?

If you enter your nsec or private key consider it compromised.

There's no way to know what a third party has done with it.

There's no way to transfer profile.

What you can do is create new keys, post a message on old one indicating new public key for people to follow. And of course update your nip05 to the new pubkey

Got it. but since this is badges.page and it’s built by someone pretty well known in the community I was hoping to get a responsse and explanation directly from #[3]

Can anyone help me get his attention?

Thats why i just been vibing i think a lot of people forgot how the “internet” works.
