Immediately on the heels of having posted a Bitcoin-related question, I wholeheartedly agree. Value for value doesn’t just mean sats.

I love seeing the other-than-Bitcoin content here when people share it. I go out of my way to engage, and (if the do have a ⚡️ address) I try to zap it extra-hard.

I also love learning about Bitcoin, and have found that this is an excellent place to ask questions of experienced and thoughtful users, without the noise of Twitter or the scammers of TG.

For me, I hope that my nostr experience continues to be representative of my IRL experience: a diverse set of interests and friendships, with the opportunity to focus on things I care about. So far, so good.

But the idea of people literally leaving nostr, feeling that Bitcoin is being forced on them, is downright sad. This is not the way. For my part, I’ll continue 🤙’ing, commenting, zapping, boosting, and following nostriches who share whatever authentic content they have to contribute. Again, value for value doesn’t just mean sats.

I agree. I have convinced a couple of people to set up on nostr but they lasted a week as they did not feel comfortable as they could not contribute to the btc community. My response to them is they have to create the community they are looking for then...you are early, stick to it 😉
