Australians have been banned from visiting Bondi beach over new years eve.

New year celebrations in Bondi have been deemed both too dangerous and too offensive to the Jewish community to be allowed.

NSW police are being armed with assault rifles, and they will be using the military to back up police.

So yeah Australia is going back into COVID-19 lockdowns by the looks of things.

Australia is racing against EU, UK and NK for the the most orwellian zone on earth prize and she's probably winning. Being surrounded only by water and sharks is likely a plus.
