I came to nostr as a traditional artist and musician precisely because someone explained to me about the value4value, i am not even familiar with btc things, but I do not think it is about just "paying a promotion" that would be (legit) an ad by paying zaps but ideally I thought that people could appreciate content and reward it in an uncomplicated way

Ps fantasy composer / illustrator here, followed did not jnow it was ai so yes ai is good already, and not here to preach, you cannot stop progress, but for a second try how it feels for someone like me who used to spend a week on a drawing, you writers will not require our services anymore and it has been long since music was even remunerated

So guess I am gonna drink some coffee and mourn I must adapt to this era.

And still following at the end I love fantasy and I sm not still finding my akin ones around 💕

Well, I guess you're right that making it a "promotion" may have been better wording. From my perspective though, I see it as valuing shares enough to pay people for them. Maybe that is the same thing though.

I do understand the hardship of progressing technology though. If you think writers aren't affected, we are. Chat GPT is ever advancing and who knows when AI will be able to write books on its own, tailored to the individual.

I use AI generated images to supplement my lack of artistic ability. I am good with words, so creating effective prompts is within my ability. And frankly, I don't have thousands of dollars free to have every idea turned into an image by a professional. But I can create those images with AI, then use my favorites of those to be personalized by an artist.

By no mean I am preaching, I am in the middle of brainstorming and facing the waves or so they say. AI is here to stay but it will have to undergo some kind of regulation, it can even copy voices. I own my voice and give no permission. Problem is that laion database used art from many artists without permission. So there are some issues that need to be resolved, it is soon, we will see it, goes too fast.
