You're right, enjoy the moments you have. Not sure if you have kids but they grow up ridiculously fast. Even when they are annoying try to find something that is enjoyable because they grow so fast.

You are about to embark on a wild ride my friend. For me the way I looked at the world changed. My life experiences have made me pretty cynical and kind of cold. My kids helped bring back a different perception on life. They help you rediscover the magic and wonder that kids have in the world. It's also tough at the same time.
We have enjoyed each phase of raising tiny adults so far. They grow fast. I will say that once they start walking it gets to be much for fun for a dad. Just try to enjoy even the annoyances because you may look back and miss some of them.

Man, that's about all I hope for with them. I work too much and try to provide them with a good life. I have to remember that when I'm dead they aren't going to be sad that I hung out with them, but will that I worked constantly. It's hard to turn off the provider mentality, but take time with your wife and kids. It's the simple things in life my friend.
Oh look for McDonald's and Chick-fil-A when traveling. Their bathrooms are usually decent and they never gave my wife a hard time for using them and not buying anything
