I have a theory:
Apple has a weird problem with the number 9.
In 2017, everyone was expecting the iPhone 9 release after the 8 but they launched iPhone X.
Now, instead of iOS 19 release next month, Apple now is expected to release iOS 26.

Apple has always considered user data as a toxic asset they want nothing to do with. That has been the case since before cloud storage became a thing.

True that they comply with the law in every country. They have to.
Also true that they resist as much as possible, as evidenced by their strict refusal to unlock a criminal's iPhone (which had to be unlocked by some Israeli software hacker tool for a million bucks), and their adamant stake against cryptographic backdoors. All the while Google happily copies every bit of their data to an NSA data center next door.
Privacy is in Apple's business model; they make money precisely because they don't expose their users. Exposing them would endanger their whole business. Bitcoiners should understand incentives better.
And that is the reason why I have not installed any Google services. My business phone is an Apple device. But okay, because it's not my private stuff on there. Most people don't care what is done with their data anyway.
How ever 🤷 9 is a great number.
