The footage needs to exist though, needs to be visible for everyone.

Nope. Not if it paints an incomplete picture and nefariously manipulates ppl into supporting a false narrative. Think Vietnam war, 9/11, WMD, covid, etc. etc. Heck think about the USS Liberty.

it is abhorrent to sensor any video footage. How people interpret it is irrelevant from the content existing in its raw form.
