I'll always remember my grandpa and great-uncle talking trash at each other during the Iron Bowl 😃
Daddy was a Bama fan, and for the first 12 years of my life, so was I (and the same for my husband nostr:npub1uense4apn73tvh4u20tzlp6u72g4kdustzsm0k0sqy6yuwh5jxlsy97y76 ). We grew up watching The Bear, so we don't hate on The Tide like some goobs. Half of his family are Bama grads, half Auburn. Keeps it interesting !

Mother was Auburn, Daddy Bama. We lived in Birmingham where the Iron Bowl was then played. He would buy comfy seats in the Bama section, she would still cheer for Auburn (she was a courageous lady). So, after several years of getting pelted with plastic cups, and worse, she said eff it, (she did not swear, my color edit) and left him to join the Auburn student section, which always treated her warmly. Thus, their 36 marriage survived its mixed nature!
