arguing about whether rich people should pay more taxes is a way of distracting you, and manipulating your behavior.

it creates camps, and gets you to fight amongst yourselves.

the real questions we should be asking are:

does government do moral things with the money we entrust to them to do our will?

does the government do what we tell them to do with the money we entrust to them with to do our will?

is it more effective to pay for projects and charities directly without using government bureaucracy as a middleman?

is there evidence of fraudulent use and theft of the money we entrust to them to carry out our will?

until these questions are asked and answered, discussions of โ€œwho should pay moreโ€ is just a way to keep you distracted and paying into a corrupt system.

I always find it super ridiculous and illogical that people argue about taxing billionaires while they are themselves being taxed at like 30% or whatever it is. Rather than being outraged at what the government is stealing from them, they get outraged that the government should be stealing even more money from the richer people in addition to what it takes from them. Makes no sense.

Taxes don't fund govt. Money printer does. They are beholden to nobody.

We already pay taxes when they front run the value we work for by printing money digitally or on paper and awarding those sums to people who haven't done any work yet. Meanwhile we compete with the government for the same resources and we do not have a money printer.

"Should X group pay MORE taxes" implies that all people should pay taxes. In reality nobody should be paying taxes.
