I think this very much depends on which service people enter nostr via. The first may not be a replacement for their text-first social media, but could be something like music, recipe, writing, etc services that are built on nostr and use zaps. From that point, those folks may begin to tiptoe into replacing their other services and slowly become more comfortable with nostr and value what it offers.
