Semi and Derek built it on a website thats why you need a browser. Its authentication is proved via a auth code you input as a note rather than provide an nsec.

interesting. immaterial, it is a good temporary option, until maybe the live streams nip comes to nostr.

They are working on it, it was more proof of concept. As for live streams we have them, they are lighting integrated, not sure if they are clients running on the protocol or simply broadcasting to it like nostr.build
