a huge reality check for me is searching nostr and/or lightning network on reddit.

tiny subreddits and mostly skeptical posts that Lightning doesn’t work and nostr is full of criminals.

these are such obscure technologies that i have decided my life to for the past 7 years and the majority of people have no idea exists.

I keep going because it’s obviously the right *technical* solution, and i can’t imagine working on whats popular vs what is right.

I keep reading from the Kas shillers that lightning is centralised? I'm still learning. Is there any merit to this argument or are they spreading fud?

there are like 12,000 lightning nodes, is that centralized?

I think the usage of custodial nodes on nostr is pretty bad, but that just means we have more work to do.

I would say no. I just don't understand their argument when they say Lightning is centralised.
