Why is everyone here obsessed with bitcoin?? I’d rather not use money at all, personally. We can just trade things with our neighbors, or give things for free.

Trading is good but let's say I mow grass and you sell lemonade. Maybe I'm thirsty but you just cut your grass. Without money I'd be thirsty and you'd be less wealthy.
Money is simply a battery to hold as proof of work.
This is why we bitcoin. Society and life are enriched with incorruptible money.
Bitcoin comes from an ethos of decentralization and self sovereignty. Those same principles are applied here in nostr to communication. That's why there's so many of us here. Bitcoiners are freedom lovers at our core.
