Did he take down USAID last time around? Sent retirement buyout offers to every federal employ? Froze a bunch of agencies spending pending review?

It’s actually not cool and very much a Fall of Rome vibe knowing that there’s an unelected zillionaire with his grubby hands in the Treasury. That’s not exactly the free market libertarian dream.
I don’t disagree. As much as I love seeing it, he should have been confirmed first …
he couldn't be a government employee without giving up like all his stocks 😂 it was never gonna happen. come on!
I am not a fan or supporter of Trump or the ideas for reform they are implementing in the Federal government. I do not believe it is apocalyptic BECAUSE it is Elon leading the effort. Most people making major decisions in the executive branch are unelected. And most political appointees lack the appropriate exp for their positions. None of this to me is unique or alarming.
And this security clearance stuff...just seems like a technicality that we all know doesn't matter if you're a billionaire. They live by a different set of rules. Billionaires have always had a direct line to any part of the government they want. Who are we kidding?
They took down most webpages on any program within agency websites the day of inauguration.
And they tried to do layoffs at the office/agency level and didn't succeed but did put in a staffing freeze the majority of their term.
They did shutdown government twice.
Again, this time they did their research and have an actual strategy.
