Ah that’s what you were referring to. One of the reasons why I like using news.utxo.one as my global feed. But I don’t always look at it. I searched for boulder and saw the info right away but totally agree. Wouldn’t have seen it without the top note

It isn’t just that story. It’s pretty much ANY non-Bitcoin related developments in current events. Nostr is not a good source for most news, yet.
If there was a way to “sprinkle” a
few of the articles from that news relay into the main feed (or even make it variable per user choice). But yes I agree. Not yet
A dedicated news feed, or even a dedicated news app, would be my preference. I don’t want it most of the time in my main feed. I don’t follow the news bots or accounts like Flash because it overwhelms my feed. But a quick scroll on a news feed or app to catch up would be perfect. Don’t need to interact with it, just read the headlines and click through to any articles I main want to dig into more. That’s essentially the function X serves currently, until something on nostr can replace it.

It’s a news relay with all of utxo’s news bots. In Damus, it’s the only one I toggle in global, so global becomes my news feed. In Nostur, I created a relay feed with only that relay. Didn’t try in Primal yet.
I don’t think there’s a way yet to add a relay feed in Primal. Primal does let you add any user’s feed as one of your custom feeds. Too bad relays don’t have npubs. 😂
they could... i was going to add one to my project but the lack of adequate DM supporting clients made me abandon it. the idea was to create a CLI that uses nostr DMs to interact with the relay. could include zapping it to pay subscriptions, setting user settings, organising links to upload and download your notestash
also, a relay npub could publish its whitelisted users (subscribers/members) as a follow list and then, done.
