Make it make fucking sense.

Facebook and Pornhub are writing our fucking laws for us now.

Censoring the damn internet and leaving loopholes so that porn sites are still easily accessible

Children in Australia will be banned from using google search, but simply typing in the URL for a porn site instead of searching it will bypass the censorship and children can still watch porn.

But no YouTube tutorials, no Wikipedia access, no googling, no Minecraft online etc.

Just easily accessible porn while everything else gets censored

That's why they fought so hard to make porn and prostitution ubiquitous on social media. Can barely respond to an economics or politics thread on a website like Twitter or Facebook or Primal🤦🏻‍♀️ without getting solicited or gay porn spammed.

This is not inherent to the technology. Not even on Nostr. Everything is supposed to contain porn or be easily-accessible for porn, so that you have a reasonable explanation for why it needs KYC:

It's actually a porn site. See? Has a bunch of porn on it.

WHY DOES IT HAVE A BUNCH OF PORN ON IT?

However, drag queens making out on a public tv channel on a show airing at 7pm (dinner time), that’s not porn, it’s totally fine for children to see that.

honestly, I never thought that the porn epidemic online was a tactic to get every user KYC'd.

that thought never even crossed my mind, I always thought it was just because we live in a gooning epidemic and people can't stand still without watching some porn all day long (and in part that is the reason), but in hindsight it makes perfect sense that it's also a tactic to enforce KYC

The gooning epidemic has been manufactured.

There is a whole list of reasons why they don't want virile, fit, potentially-aggressive men thinking about anything other than sex.

Enforcing KYC is arguably the least-upsetting reason.
