This is a really cool solution. fedimint provides a lightning address so you can accept zaps while your non-custodial phone wallet is offline. the mint is taking on the role of wallet of satoshi here. The wallet then can automatically sweep your mint funds into your wallet once its back online. This is great ux and fixes a lot of concerns around depending on custodial lightning wallets for onboarding. nostr:note14hffcxz8caevxsmzl4rr3l3t2xnschpp22r7gggez5as0lykjq8qe5wksh

Sounds pretty cool, curious why this matters though for just receiving funds

Because a non-custodial “ln node in the phone” wallet isn’t always online. You need to be online to receive funds/zaps.
