It's all one and the same.

to me it's the protocol or the underlying infrastructure they are talking about as opposed to the experience that is here or social media.

Sure they're using the protocol in a slightly different way than we are right now, but when you get down to it, we're all just pushing JSON messages to a relay.

Nope. Not even remotely close.

The current social side is... What it is.

The other stuff is what will drive the world to utilize the nostr protocol.

You're essentially comparing HTTP and Facebook.
