Absolutely there's no easy solve, ultimately boils down to personal responsibility, if you're not going to step in and save yourself you're subjecting yourself to the will of others, who likely don't have your best interest at heart

Save as many others as one can from more havoc has been my way since I was a child. No sarcasm. Hence peacekeeping. Even if it looks different than what many would define it as. It’s all good.
