Out of nowhere, this Addison Rae kid pops up with a full-length debut album… and it’s too freaking fine! 🎉
🪩 The record was produced by a creative team of three women, including the singer, all under 30. Keep that in mind if you decide to listen to the whole thing.
🪩 Great songwriting with a surprising number of tasteful rhythmic and harmonic details, that only (some) musicians will notice and appreciate.
🪩 The overall music production is very good and has its own sonic character and… how to put it… attitude? Just listen to the chorus in “High Fashion.”
🪩 As if it weren’t enough already, the album is conceived as a tribute to Madonna’s iconic Ray of Light - as the producers openly claim.
And it shows.
Make no mistake, this is bubblegum pop. But it’s crafted with such care, taste, and respect for the music that it leaves me in love with pop all over again, just like Justin Bieber did with Swag earlier this year.
