I have been buying bitcoin since 2018. It has never once occurred to me to attend a bitcoin conference. Why would I? What's the point?

smart. conferences are bad for opsec, and there's nothing to learn at the gabfests that can't be picked up for free in a myriad other ways, including just getting to know the people around you.
