This is the second cultural effigy reference I've seen in a few days. In the Taiga they burn Winter.

Burning is a direct form of creating chaos, and order arises from chaos.
My dyslexic brain originally read that as burning 🎅🏼
I'd be totally down with a new tradition
Not Santa but Satan 🤣
Not religious my self, but interesting to understand how society show its unconfort. Inwiuld not burn Santa, my kids love it.
So close to buildings and trees. I appreciate that in a cultural tradition.
What do you appreciate?
Oh… Just minding their own business, hopefully making sure fires don’t burn out of control while not necessarily minding the “laws” in the area. Or maybe the local law has nothing to say about it, and still they have to take care to keep buildings and trees safe.
I appreciate people taking matters in their own hands.
