I may be completely wrong but I thought autocomplete was a feature of the keyboard?
Do apps get access to word suggestions? Seems like a privacy model dilemma.

Autocomplete must be enhanced with info from the app. Otherwise it will only pick up the language dictionary, which doesn't include hashtags.
