The Augusta police really flubbed this one. If they're going to keep doing pre-crime they're going to have to think harder about their strategy.
All Augusta residents know that Memorial Bridge is a busy, narrow space. There were a bunch of noisy boomer No Kings weirdos heading toward one noisy patriot. The battle was set to be waged in a four foot wide space bordered by a suicide fence and a two foot high cement guardrail designed to separate pedestrians from fast moving cars.
I get why they removed Nick. And I get why Nick filmed it and maintained his always belligerent offense.
In his mind he had as much right to be there as the Trump haters. In my mind he had more of a right to be there ... because he is RIGHT and the Trump haters are burning down everything that matters in Maine.
It's good that the police didn't charge him. I doubt Nick will find a lawyer. This will likely go the way of so much else that passes for news in our online world.
It'll soon be forgotten.
