the question always is: what inflation.
everybody's inflation is different and may not be visible in the aggregates.
also all businesses are pre-stocked now. the goods has been already in the US before the tarrifs become effective. and the real cost inrease is yet about to come. it might be a year or more.
And Canada might retaliate with energy price increase or out right shutting down export. That would cause the north of US to go dark. That would be 🍿
Yeah those are considerations too, but the what inflation question is a given in my head, like I'm always aware of that.

I mentioned that because our (state) statisticians can do miracles with the numbers. Exclude thi include that ... just make the numbers look good (or adhoc)...
