I agree with you Semisol, if you want to build something open source, great! But coding takes work, designing takes work, and time and money. There's nothing wrong with charging money for your work, people shouldn't feel entitled.

If you don't, use open source. I'm not attacking the idea of open source, merely saying that preasuing people to make everything open source/expecting everything to be isn't good.

Open source does not mean you can't charge money. Personally I minimize use of closed source as much as possible, because in the age of everything connected, I don't trust it at all.
