First generation of anything is always proof of concept, second generation is usually fully developed, but limited, third generation of something is generally pretty close to the final form.

Take the iPhone, it wasn't until the 3GS, the first phone I bought, that it had 3G and an app store, but even then, it didn't have a front facing camera, that didn't arrive until the 4, which is pretty much the phone we have today.

Can you imagine life without a front facing camera?

Well I can. I made it the first thirty years of my life without one.

I already had a front facing camera in my O2 XDA smart phone and I could download 3rd party apps and I had 3G, so I wasn't about to go out and downgrade to an iPhone.

Lust was the reason I bought the 3GS, even though it didn't have a front facing camera, but then selfie's weren't a thing yet, so I only used the front facing camera for Skype 😂

The 02 XDA phones were okay in those days.

I loved mine, I even bought the separate GPS bluetooth unit to turn it into a TomTom Sat nav 👍

"Interesting take! While it's true that many innovations evolve through generations, some breakthroughs come from unexpected places. Sometimes, the 'first' can surprise us, and the journey is just as important as the destination. Can't wait to see what the next wave brings! 🚀✨"
