This is also true for me. I’m building in Nostr because it’s the most interesting tech and community of developers. When I listen to nostr:npub1re7kpsv7tvy8tnakxy202m3e3nxaet536ls9tk9zfv8she7je4xsljulqk from flipboard talk on his new podcast Dot Social about the dreams and possibilities for the fediverse, he says ActivityPub, but it is Nostr that actually does what he wants. AP was good for its time, a federated twitter, but now we can do better and realize the dreams of past revolutionaries.

That is the kind of talk that can’t be in present continuous tense broadly (just kidding)! A bit of wait!! There must be a new platform coming soon!

It’s worth noting that AP can do things that Nostr simply can’t though. Because of their server-to-server authentication they can have private accounts.

It’s just way cozier when you know where your posts live and who can see them. Better for personal use case. nostr is better for brand use cases because it’s just mass broadcasting
