API consoles sometimes get lost in the mix (I worked hard on that pun), behind their NEVE and SSL contemporaries. This album is THE quintessential sound of an API console, IMO. A masterclass, far beyond the songwriting.

Just got around to listening. I'd listened to that seminal Stevie album many times, but Battles was brand new to me. Incredible recording. Thanks again.
